It means IJMB can be used as a form of direct entry into the school. Note sometimes you would find GCE A’level, GCE A’level and IJMB A’level are both of thesame purpose. Gaining Admission into Nigeria Universities

Gaining Admission into Nigeria Universities
Requirements for Gaining Admission
The following requirements apply for most Nigerian universities. The candidate must have:
  • A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
  • A minimum mark of 180-200 in the Joint Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JTME) out of a maximum of 400 marks.
  • A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other Advanced Level Certificates.
Most universities in Nigeria have same requirements as listed above, Interim joint and matriculation board (I.J.M.B) is one of the best way for student to get admission into 200 level in any university of his or her choice in Nigeria.
I.J.M.B. Is an advance level programme which ushers in students straight into 200L after the completion of the programme. Jamb Utme is not needed for the programme eligibility.
With your O’level result, you are good to go.
Jumping from O’level Credentials to 200 level – IJMB is the solution.
It is the only advance level program recognized in NIGERIA and beyond since the cancellation of higher school certificate(HSC)or GCE advance level program many years ago. Some universities still list GCE advance level on their portal for direct entry admission into their school which they require from those who still have the GCE advance level certificate. Now the good thing is I.J.M.B is now part of most universities requirements in Nigeria through Direct entry since the cancellation of GCE advance level, most universities accepts IJMB, but hasn’t list IJMB as a requirement on their portal, you will rather find GCE advance level, NCE, Diploma, ND or HND on some universities portal and the truth is candidate that don’t have GCE advance Level certificate can use IJMB advance level certificate as a form of entry. Download and view the jamb direct entry template through this link http://www.jamb.org.ng/DirectEntry1/ to see IJMB as a source of Direct Entry in Nigeria universities.
Most Private universities in Nigeria Accepts I.J.M.B as a means of direct entry into their school. Fountain University in Osun Sate. Use IJMB as a form of entry into their school through direct entry, click here to view or download fountain university direct entry form
The IJMB ( Interim Joint Matriculation Board ) is Organized by Ahmadu Bello University follow the link bellow to read more on their website.

Do You Know You Can Now Gain 200L Admission Without Jamb & Post UTME(Full Details)

200 Level Admission into Nigerian universities without jamb after nine months is for real. Yes, I can categorically say this because I myself went through the Programme and I came out successfully. One thing I love this Programme for is its level of intensity.
The main reason why students spend longer than usual at home after their secondary school education is because they are not exposed to the kind of information that would help them proceed into the university.
Admission lists of various universities have been released but what happens if your name is not on the list??? Do you just sit down and does nothing wait for another year to come by so that you could enroll for UTME???
The simple answer is NO!!!
There are other ways or process which you could go about to further increase your chances in gaining that much sought after admission……continue reading below….
Here is another opportunity to gain that admission you have been painstakingly searching for. The best alternative is Interim Joint Matriculation Board (I.J.M.B).
Interim Joint Matriculation Board (I.J.M.B) is a federal government approved programme of 9 month moderated by ABU Zaria. With Various Study Centres Nationwide.
IJMB was created to serve as an alternative to university admission, as it requires no JAMB, no post UTME nor Entrance Exams, Also Awaiting result candidate can apply. All it requires is your o’level result be it Waec, neco, nabteb etc (5 credit one sitting, and 6 credit two sittings).

Over the years now IJMB has been a good alternative for most students entering into university directly into 200level. .
The programme is recommendable. . .

CHECK PAGE 4 OF UTME BROCHURE ITEM 2.2
(2) TO CONFIRM IJMB AS A REQUIREMENT
FOR UNIVERSITY ADMISSION IN NIGERIA.

Doing UTME is obviously a step in the right direction but as the saying, don’t put all your eggs in one basket, there is no harm in having multiple entries in your quest for admission so should in case UTME doesn’t go as planned, you have a back up to fall on.

The following are some of the Universities which
accepts IJMB results for direct entry (200L)
admission.

1. UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN.
2. NNAMDI AZIKWE UNIVERSITY, AWKA(UNIZIK)
